Jun Aoki Complete Works 3 2005-2014

By Jun Aoki

The third monograph of Japanese architect Jun Aoki, widely known for his Louis Vuitton Matsuya Ginza frontage renewal, covers roughly a decade of work. Beginning with the Aomori Museum of Art, the selection of works features a range of scales and functions, forming a portrait of the architect's philosophy and approach. Interestingly, Aoki chooses to present pictures of built works in black and white, appended with detailed drawings and project data in a separate section. Several texts also intersperse the projects, including Mitsue Primary School, Yeosu Expo Pavilion, BMW Art Car Collection, and more.
