t-sa forum 2016, using London as the centre for its study, looked to identify urban artefacts, as catalysts for renewal, and their relationship to the city. Students explored these ‘structures’ as surviving entities of changes in time and use, to draw and study on their lasting architectural expression, emotion and memory.
The investigation was focused on the following urban artefacts in London; Christ Church Spitalfields, Royal College of Physicians, Tate Modern, National Theatre.
The research was carried out through photography, text, initial surveys and printing techniques to abstract the key ideas within the architectural expression of these artefact.
