Gross Ideas: Tales of Tomorrow’s Architecture – Out of Print

Edited By Edwina Attlee

The intersection of fictional and built architecture is blurry. Imagined cities shape the possibilities of physical ones long before briefs are written or masterplans made. Gross Ideas is the companion publication to the Oslo Architecture Triennale. It explores the streets and lives of Degrowth cities through the eyes of fictional characters in a compendium of short stories. With stories written by architects, science fiction writers, poets and environmental campaigners, the publication aims to simulate a broad and interdisciplinary conversation about our common responsibility for tomorrow. From graphic novels to poetry, the stories are hopeful, strange, alarming and inspiring.
