Swiss architect Peter Märkli (b. 1953) is renowned for his contemporary designs that emphasise materials, proportions, and cultural context. With a diverse portfolio spanning over 40 years, his work showcases an attention to detail and a commitment to creating harmonious spaces. Märkli studied at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich. During this time he met his mentor, architect Rudolf Olgiati, and famed sculptor Hans Josephsohn. He then went on to establish Studio Märkli in 1978.
Providing an in-depth study of Märkli’s work through an extensive body of 700 drawings by the architect himself, this book also includes eight essays in French and Italian.
