By Luis Fernández-Galiano
Sixteen articles published over the past three decades are compiled here, tracing the fertile career of Spanish architect Rafael Moneo. The sequence begins with what was the prologue to the monograph on his work that AV published back in 1992, and concludes with two of Moneo's own reflections on his intellectual journey and the evolution of his oeuvre. Other articles detail projects like the Pilar and Joan Miro Foundation, the Murcia City Hall annex, or the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in Los Angeles, using the academic side of the architect's character to point out lessons inherent in each of his buildings that he has explained in various essays and books.
