AV Proyectos 97 devotes its dossier to the Stockholm-based young studio Tham & Videgård, whose experimental and innovative proposals reconcile Swedish tradition and the most contemporary international architecture. The issue also collects the twelve first prizes obtained by Spanish teams in Europan 15. The following section examines four examples of refurbishment in the traditional hutongs of Beijing, carried out by some of the most prominent Chinese offices: Vector, Archstudio, ZAO/standardarchitecture, and MAD Studio.
