Le Jardins des Prodigies Portables gathers the original hand drawings for the Portable Gardens proposed by the Madrid duo Cristina Díaz Moreno & Efrén García Grinda (amid.cero9) with the collaboration of José JaJaJa for Lausanne (2012) in a volume of 22 pages published as a limited edition of 300 copies.
The proposal for Lausanne Jardins 2014 is halfway between Safavid dynasty paradises and Semana Santa procesiones. It consists of a series of portable temples that each Sunday morning are ritualistically moved to different locations around the city. The temples form a collection of pocket-sized, beefed-up, militarised or hyper versions of mini-grottoes, micro-greenhouses or oversized plant pots.
