Recent new dynamic urban and architectural changes in London led to the need for a new edition of the guide only three years after its initial publication, with the addition of seven new projects. Vibrant, dynamic and extremely multicultural, London is the largest city in Western Europe. The metropolitan area has a population of about 14 million and boasts a huge number of cultural and architectural attractions and outstanding museums that draw thousands of visitors every year from all over the world. The city is a vast complex of remarkable buildings created by renowned international architects that form the unmistakeable iconic London skyline. This guide is aimed at providing a useful instrument for understanding the architectural history of London as well as a means for analysing the new construction trends that are characteristic of the city. The itineraries include about 80 architectural works, both historical and contemporary, which are fully illustrated with images, drawings and descriptions.
